03/03/2019 - Mardi Gras 10K and 5K Charity Trail Race
What better way to celebrate Mardi Gras than with a little trail run. Get your sweat on and join us for a Carnival celebration in the park!

Who knows... there may even be some bead tossing involved.

Join us Sunday March 3rd, as we put on the most festive race in San Diego County. There will be beads, masks, costumes, and plenty of running. This family friendly event features a 10K and 5K trail race. But don't worry... if you're not a runner and want to join in the fun we also offer a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk and Kid's Dash for the little ones.

The Mardi Gras Run is all about the celebration so feel free to dress up in your best Carnival outfits and have some fun while you run the trails.

The event is produced by the Endurance Race Series, but is owned by and benefits the Rancho Bernardo Community Council and their efforts in supporting the RB community

Qi Gong is a holistic system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial arts training. With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi), translated as "life energy".

On Thursday, December 6th at 7:30 pm Warwick's will host Jay Paris as he discusses and signs his new book, Shohei Ohtani: The Amazing Story of Baseball's Two-Way Japanese Superstar. Paris is a celebrated sports journalist and the author of Game of My Life: San Diego Chargers and Game of My Life: Rams. A three-time recipient of awards from the Pro Football Writers Association of America, Paris covers baseball for MLB.com and the Associated Press. This event is free and open to the public. 09/22/2018 - Sports: Free Aikido Workshop
Join the San Diego Martial Arts & Community Center for a two-hour, all level workshop with Cat Strada Sensei, focusing on the relationship between Introductory "traditional aikido" and "applied" aikido for basic self defense. Everyone is welcome, from all backgrounds, beginners and those with training experience alike!

It will not be "high impact." People train at their own level in a safe environment. Seniors, and those with physical differences or emotional stressors who would like to find some harmony, are welcomed and encouraged since aikido is especially good for you. You'll do great.

Explore this interesting and effective Japanese "defensive martial art," and be open to the scope of various ways to train Aikido for yourself, and for your partner's benefit, in case they may want to explore different things as you do.

The Bocce ball tournament was a huge hit the past three years, drawing over 160 teams each time. This fundraiser for the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl features round-robin Bocce tournament play, a live DJ, a team uniform contest and beer provided by Coronado Brewing Company. Grab a partner and have a ball. No experience needed. Bocce equipment provided.
