Slack Key Ohana is a Hawaiian band based in San Diego. They play a mix of original Hawaiian music and traditional favorites. Their sound features rich harmonies and slack key guitar, which is a Hawaiian guitar tuning that creates a distinctive sound. They recently won an award for Best World Music Song at the San Diego Music Awards.
Tavana is a one-man band from Honolulu. He plays a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, ukulele, and lap steel, often using his feet to create percussion while simultaneously singing and playing melody. His music blends island-inspired rock, blues, and soul.
