Zimbeat is a San Diego-based ensemble that performs the traditional and modern music of Southern Africa. Zimbeat combines the Shona mbira music of Zimbabwe with the music of South Africa. The members of Zimbeat, include Robert Ackley, Andrew Acquista, Max Berry, Nomsa Burkhardt, Randy Griswold, and Garit Imhoff.
