As part of its Art & Empire exhibition, the San Diego Museum of Art presents a screening of the 2012 Spanish film, Blancanieves.
This twist on Snow White is set in 1920s Seville and is a tribute to silent films. In this version, Snow White is a brave bullfighter and her evil stepmother vamps around town with a top hat and cigarette holder.
The film was Spain?s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar for 2012 and the winner of 10 Goya Awards (the Spanish Oscars).
