National Celebration of Black Women

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
2019 will mark the 400th commemoration year since the first African captives arrived at the shore of Jamestown, Virginia in the year 1619.

National Celebration of Black Women was born out of a necessity to recognize the women in American history that emerged from slavery, defied the odds and came out victorious!

On this day, March 2, 2019, during Women's History Month, black women are joining hands across the nation in celebration of our phenomenal ancestry and contributions in building America.

There will be a March starting at 8:30 AM from the corner of North Harbor Dr. and Park Ave to be followed by a celebration in Ruocco Park at 10:00 AM.
