2021 San Diego Latino Film Festival

The San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) is presented and produced by Media Arts Center San Diego. This year they will celebrate their 28th annual festival with in-person (drive-ins) and virtual screenings. The 11-day festival is aa celebration of Latino Cinema, Arts & Culture which will present over 100 films online online Latin America, the US, and abroad, as well as include live virtual Q&A sessions with filmmakers, and more. Media Arts Center San Diego’s San Diego Latino Film Festival was established 28 years ago initially as a student film festival (Cine Estudantil) focusing on works by Latinos and/or about the Latino Experience. Since that time, the San Diego Latino Film Festival has developed into one of the larger and well-respected Latino film festivals in the world. Over 330,000 people have attended during the past 28 years and over 4,000 films/videos have been screened. Admission/Cost: Ticket prices vary, see schedule link below. Talk: Trade and Tourism in the Philippines

Audie J. de Castro is the Honorary Consul of the Republic of the Philippines, the first ever to be appointed in San Diego County. His position is a volunteer position, but he is responsible for all of San Diego County, where over 200,000 Filipino-Americans reside. in addition to promoting diplomacy, trade and tourism, his responsibilities include providing consular services and protections to Filipino citizens.
Professionally, Audie is a corporate lawyer and founded de Castro, PC, a law firm in downtown San Diego. He received his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He is also a former Certified Public Accountant, with a business degree from the University of San Diego.
Audie has also served in various leadership roles within the San Diego community. He served on the Board of Governors for the San Diego Foundation. He has received numerous board appointments from the San Diego Mayor and City Council and is Past-President of the Asian Business Association and Filipino-American Lawyers of San Diego.
A native of San Diego, Audie enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 teenage sons. He also enjoys cooking and exercise
