Copley Library and the Filipino Ugnayan Student Organization (FUSO) celebrate Filipino American History Month with Dr. Allyson Tintiangco-Cubales, a distinguished professor in the College of Ethnic Studies at the San Francisco State University. She founded the Pin@y Educational Partnerships (PEP), a “barangay” that offers Ethnic Studies courses, develops radical educators, and supports marginalized communities. She also co-founded and directs Community Responsive Education (CRE), a national firm that supports responsive, equitable, and justice-driven educators. Dr. Tintiangco-Cubales has produced works like Larry the Musical and The Art of Work Film, both set to premiere in 2024. She has published several books and a wide array of articles that focus on developing ethnic studies curriculum and community-responsive pedagogy, Motherscholarship, and Pinayism.
