Jamal Soliman will be hosting a lecture and Q&A about his experiences as a Syrian born producer, director, and actor. He has a rich career spanning television, film, and stage. Born in 1959 in Damascus, Soliman honed his craft at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus before furthering his studies at Leeds University in Britain, where he obtained a master’s degree in theatrical studies.

Soliman has a notable presence in the theater with acclaimed plays like "The Story of a Foretold Death," "Dear Poor Marat," "Historical Miniatures," "The Magic Violin," "A Servant for Two Masters," and "Al-Motanabby." His film credits include impactful roles in "Returning to Haifa," "The Remaining," and "The Departure." Soliman is one of the Arab leading actors in the Arab TV drama. Additionally, he has been actively involved in political advocacy. He served as the former vice president of the Syrian Negotiations Commission and was a founding member of the Cairo Conference 2015, representing the conference in UN-sponsored negotiations.
