A Vyshyvanka is an article of Ukrainian clothing, usually a shirt or blouse, traditionally hand-embroidered, and worn proudly on special occasions. Vyshyvanka Day falls annually on the third Thursday in May. This year at the House of Ukraine we will celebrate Vyshyvanka Day on Sunday, May 19. We will feature a Ukrainian embroidery exhibit and demonstration, vyshyvankas and Ukrainian souvenirs, and delicious Ukrainian baked goods. Please wear your favorite vyshyvanka and join us!
