El Tri are a pioneering Mexican rock band. They've been active for over 50 years, and are considered to be one of the most influential bands in Latin rock history. They were formed in Mexico City in 1968. They originally performed under the name Three Souls in My Mind, but changed their name to El Tri in 1985. Their lead singer is Alex Lora. He's known for his energetic stage presence and his socially conscious lyrics.Their music blends rock and roll, blues, and psychedelic rock. They often sing about social and political issues, as well as love and everyday life.
