Experience the enchantment of a traditional Waltz Ball, celebrating the music and dances of the 19th and early 20th centuries! Waltz & Such and the SD Vintage Dance Society are thrilled to host their 20th annual beloved tradition.
San Diego's own Grand Pacific Waltz Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Joe Dyke, will provide LIVE authentic music for waltzes, polkas, quadrilles, schottisches and more.
Our dance mistress will be Ms. Joan Walton, an internationally renowned authority on historic vintage dances, who will also teach a "Survival Waltz" workshop prior to the ball (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the same venue). The workshop will include the specialty dances of the evening. Cost of the workshop is $15 at the door only.
Please note this ball is a formal event, with ladies in long gowns and men in suits, tailcoats, or tuxedos. No jeans, tennis shoes, ball caps or minidresses, please.
