In celebration of National Native American Heritage Month, American Indian Educational Talks & Documentaries Project is excited to host this screening and discussion on modern Native resistance actions and Tribal identity facilitated by Alan Lechusza, Ph.D. We’ll view multiple documentary shorts that address issues facing Native/Indigenous Peoples in North America. This exploration will help us put a finger on the pulse of various social and political situations challenging contemporary Tribal identity and sovereignty focusing on how Native/Indigenous activism is framed in response for Tribal equity and cultural inclusion.
