The APIDA Center is launching an APIDA Roots Society to learn more about Asian heritage plants. For FAHM, learn about the Moringa oleifera plant, popularly known as Malunggay in the Philippines. This plant is native to South and Southeast Asia, and has been used as a form of medicine for centuries. The Malunggay tree offers many health benefits and can be consumed in its many forms of flowers, leaves, and pods. Celebrate the healing properties of this plant, and learn how Malunggay plays a medicinal role in traditional Filipino dishes!
