Join us for our 4th annual Hafez day to celebrate the life and work of Hafez, the most famous Persian poet and the only writer in the world to have their own holiday. His work is a great example of how poetry can be included in our daily lives, many Iranians memorize his works and use them as proverbs. Though known for his lyric poetry, his poems range from themes of love to those of resistance. His works demonstrate the power of art to express the ineffable. Presented in collaboration with the Persian Cultural Center and San Diego Poetry Annual.
