Discussions, Talks, Panels & Forums Download To My Calendar

Political leaders, government entities, CEOs, security and economic experts and community members will convene to discuss Africa's future.

The objective of summit is to create awareness on the security issues in Africa and proffer workable solutions. Also, we aim to enhance and build the capacity of security personnel. The African continent is passing through a period of immense security and economic challenges and risks. Criminal elements all over the continent are united in their determination to threaten our common values, destroy our means of livelihood and make life brutish and miserable for our people.

Violent conflict which is majorly fuelled by climate change, population growth, proliferation of small arms and light weapons and ethnicity has equally pave the way for banditry and kidnapping which has since reached an alarming proportions in many African countries. Furthermore, we have political instability, external forces and a host of others.

The summit will have four panel sessions on various aspects of security from cultism (gang activity), drug abuse, gender-based violence, arms proliferation, terrorism and transnational crimes including intelligence and community policing, among others. Most importantly, we will discuss the role and interest of external powers in Africa and how it affects our security
architecture.
