El Día de los Niños, El Día de los Libros connects families and children to books, the joy of reading, and the diversity of cultures in our community. El Día, as it is commonly known, is inspired by Mexico’s annual El Día del Niño (Day of the Child), and serves as an introduction to rich family traditions preserved in the community.
It is also a nationally recognized day, especially celebrated by libraries to emphasize the importance of literacy for children of all backgrounds.
This program will feature a story time from Georgette Baker beginning at 3:30 PM, followed by craft stations, giveaways, and refreshments. Participating children will receive a free book (while supplies last).
Registration is not required, but plan to arrive early as craft supplies and books may be limited.
