A Chance to “Unbias” Someone – Join the conversation for Social Change. This Black LGBTQ Humman Book experience helps to create safer spaces for dialogue where topics are discussed openly with our human books and their readers.
Participants are all volunteers with personal lived experiences on their topic.
3pm will kick off with our poetry slam with community members sharing their work and reading pieces of art that have inspired them to reach Black Excellence.
4pm will begin the Black Human Book experience with conversations with actual books that represent various Black identities.
5pm will announce the winners of the poetry slam, raffles, networking and social connections.
