Discussion: Iran | Women, Life, Freedom

Social Justice and Human Rights Download To My Calendar

Women are driving the largest anti-government protest movement Iran has seen in decades. They are risking their lives to demand basic freedoms.

United by the death of 22-year-old Jina Mahsa Amini, demonstrations continue to spread throughout Iran calling an end to strict rules on behavior and appearance.

Meet SoCal resident, American-Iranian Sara Bahrani-Kamangar, the local voice for whom these demands are personal. A survivor of government-sponsored violence, she made headlines with her public hunger strike in late November 2022 in San Diego, California.

Join the discussion and support the movement; show solidarity and unity.
