Imogen Says Nothing is the story of Imogen-- part women, part bear-- who has escaped from the bear fighting rings in Shakespeare's England. She runs into a troupe of actors who are just about to present the very first performance of William's Much Ado About Nothing, but finds herself suddenly onstage when one of the actors is too drunk to perform. While the actors attempt to save their theatre, Imogen wants nothing more than to find her name in the script of Shakespeare's play. In this sparkling new comedy by playwright Aditi Bennan Kapil, history is re-written, stories are told, and what is in ink might not actually be the true truth of the matter.
