From Camarada:
We are honored to continue our adventure as Artists-In-Residence at the Mingei International Museum. Join us for stellar chamber music at the newly reopened, remodeled and extraordinary Mingei in heart of Balboa Park. Mingle while you browse fantastical exhibitions before the concerts.
Mosaics —a kaleidoscope of musical color.
Join us for an adventure of sonic color with this eclectic showcase of unusual and virtuosic compositions. This musical mosaic ranges from neo-classical to the Blues by David Baker. San Francisco composer Stefan Cwik will join us to discuss his captivating Eight Miniatures – in the style of Stravinsky for flute, bassoon, violin and piano. Short, yet breathtaking works by American composers Adrienne Albert (bassoon & piano), Vincent Persichetti (solo piano) and William Grant Still (wind trio with piano) offer an explosion of hue and creativity. The art of the Mingei heightened by this musical program offers the perfect oasis in the midst of the flurry of life.
