Please visit the San Diego Writer's Ink webpage to learn whether or not this event has been canceled due to concerns over the COVID-19 virus at http://www.sandiegowriters.org/
This class is open to Latino/a writers who want to write about their experiences growing up in a Latino family and culture. There is an absence of the Latino voice in literature that yearns for its space in the literature world.
This class will stem away from the traditional memoir and storytelling setting. Rather, the class will focus on the rawness of the true Latino/a voice and their authentic experience. Writers will also have the opportunity to share their stories on stage and be featured as a guest speaker at the Acid Vault. These stories will not only be written but heard throughout the San Diego community.
Being raised in Barrio Logan, Vera wants to help those in similar communities share their stories.
