Director's Statement:
To me Much Ado is a play about the lies we tell each other. The little white lies we tell to help a friend, the lies we tell to get what we want, or the lies we tell ourselves to make life a little brighter. In the same way, one of the greatest gifts that theatre has to offer an audience is the ability to imagine the world differently through storytelling. And what is a story but a lie we agree to believe temporarily? This production interweaves the stories the characters tell in the play with the stories the actors tell on stage in order to embrace the idea that, the fact that its fiction doesn't make it any less true.
