The Barona Cultural Center & Museum invites San Diegans to learn how to make a traditional basket at the upcoming Pine Needle Basket class with Yvonne La Chusa-Trottier of the Mesa Grande Reservation on Saturday, February 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Barona Museum Classroom.
This Ancient Spirits Speak class uses southern California's abundant pine needles to weave traditional gift baskets. The class is open to all levels of basket makers ages 16 and up and lunch will be provided.
