As one of Shakespeare's most popular romantic comedies, this play interweaves reality and magic, love and hate, chaos and order. Three distinct worlds are the focus: The Athenians, The Fairies and The Players. Chaos and comedy ensue when they all cross paths. Angry parents, rebellious teens, eloping young lovers, unrequited love, a natural world asunder, mischievous fairies, magical potions, mistaken identities, struggling young actors, wedding revelries, and an ass. Contrary to Shakespeare's original, this production takes place during modern times in the Mediterranean region. The addition of ethereal dances and orchestral accompaniment augment this "dream-like" play.
