Imam Taha holds a Master degree of theology in Islamic studies from the Graduate Theological Foundation (GTF) in South Bend, Indiana. In addition to his regular duties at ICSD, Imam Taha is: Preacher & lecturer at various Islamic centers, colleges, and houses of worship in Southern California and around the US, a Religious adviser of the Muslim Students Association at UCSD since 2004 and a Member of the West Coast Muslim-Catholic dialogue.
