Join The American History Theater for their Fall production of Texas in Paris at White Box Live Arts in Liberty Station opening November 15! This musical, written by Alan Govenar and directed by our own Melissa Malloy, follows the story of two strangers, one black and one white, who have both been invited to sing in a concert series in Paris, France. Both from America's heartland, it takes being thrown together in a strange land for them to face their preconcptions head on. Texas in Paris is a metaphor for the dilemma of race that is currently dividing our nation. The music-spirituals, cowboy songs and country hymns-is a songbook of American life-everyday songs, lost and found, black and white, remembered and discovered as new. Get your tickets now!
