Friends of Hellhole Canyon and the Valley Center Library present Indigenous Regeneration founders, Paul and Lacey Cannon in an informative presentation that will educate the community on their projects that currently serve local tribes in Valley Center. Paul, who leads the band, Iron Sage Wood, will play a few songs and tell stories. Lacey, Executive Director will share photos of their native project sites and talk about future community building plans. Indigenous Regeneration is focused on traditional and contemporary food cultivation, environmental awareness and re-connection to the land, as well as traditional plant education and integration. They also teach/support Indigenous primitive survival skills and healthy self- expression through music, art and cultural activities. Regenerative agricultural concepts and sustainable building techniques for future economic growth on San Diego reservations are also part of their programs. All their programming is designed from an Indigenous view, overseen by elders on the board and is aligned with holistic practices for modern benefits.
