PASACAT 35th Annual Junior Concert

The two-hour performance will feature 32 children and young adults in an outdoor production of twenty dances inspired by some of the regions of the more than 7,100 island nation. Along with new creations and national favorites, PASACAT brings to life the Philippines’ cultural richness with vibrant costuming, live gong music, in the spirit of movement through dance.

There will be performances by guest artist, Kaya, a local group of primarily Filipino American musicians in a tribute to the contemporary sounds of Original Pilipino Music, OPM. Resident martial arts organization Doce Pares, will provide an exhibition led by certified black belts who strive to promote the Doce Pares Original “Multi-Style” System of Eskrima, the Filipino martial arts using sticks.
