Film: My Italian Secret

Firehouse Museum , 1572 Columbia St , San Diego

Film

My Italian Secret is the heroic story of Italian bicycling idol Gino Bartali (he won the Tour de France in 1938 and again in 1948) and other Italians who during WWII risked their lives by defying the Nazis to save thousands of Italy’s Jews. I selected this movie to be between Italy’s Liberation Day, April 25, celebrating the Resistance’s victory over he Nazis, and our Memorial Day, May 30, honoring and mourning those who died while serving in the U.S. military. This film is in English and Italian with subtitles.
