4:30 PM Festival: Global Winter Wonderland This multi-cultural holiday festival features traditional illuminated Chinese lanterns plus live acrobatic performances, rides, carnival games and international cuisine. The 50-foot, artisan handcrafted lanterns depict scenes from across the globe, encompassing the theme, "Holidays Around the World."

6:00 PM Lecture: Amanda Petersen Amanda Petersen, PhD is an Associate Professor of Spanish in the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Literatures and affiliated faculty for the Latin American Studies and Women's and Gender Studies programs. A specialist in Mexican literatures and cultures, she researches and teaches in the areas of spectrality, gender, visual culture, and border studies. Her co-edited book, Espectros: Ghostly Hauntings in Contemporary Transhispanic Narratives (2015), explores the spectral in literature, film, and photography of Latin America, Spain, and the Latino diaspora.

7:30 PM Stage: The Green Cockatoo It's July 14th, 1789, Paris. The city is in an uproar and the political/social life is on the very brink of enormous changes … changes that will effect the entire world from then on. A rag-tag theatrical group is performing their improvised show for some of the aristocracy. At a certain moment no one is sure if the frenzied performers are screaming real insults at the nobility as part of the show, or if they are finally telling them their cathartic truth about the burgeoning revolution and the overthrow of the aristocracy.
