10:00 AM Class: Rosh Hashana Apple Strudel Diane Hillman grew up in Chicago cooking Jewish foods by her mother's side and many of her recipes, including her apple strudel, were handed down in her family for generations. For Hillman, a retired doctor of pharmacy, Jewish food is more than sustenance: it's nutrition for the soul. All the ingredients for a mouth-watering strudel will be provided and Diane will demonstrate how this iconic Jewish New Year treat is made. Each participant will make their own small strudel to take home and bake in time for the holiday. Before the class ends, you'll be treated to a piece of strudel fresh from the oven along with a cup of coffee or tea, and the chance to wish your cooking neighbors a Shana Tova.

Maximum 18 students. Pre-registration is necessary. No walk-ups.
