6:00 PM Taste Of The Philippines With Dakila This special event is a flavorful combination of food & music. Let us take you back in time of peace, love and happiness. Relax to the smooth sounds of the 70's mixed with the comforts of our homeland. Sample delicious dishes prepared by local Filipino chefs, refreshing libations, sweet treets, and the main course with Dakila, the legendary Latin jazz rock band from San Francisco.

Dakila (Great, Nobility), founded in 1972, was one of the very first Filipino fronted bands with mass appeal embedding tagalog lyrics and playing in major clubs and venues such as Bill Graham's Fillmore West. Signed by Epic/Columbia Records, the band's fusion of latin, jazz, and rock were compared to the Bay area sound of Santana. The band has been reignited after a 40-year break, returning to San Diego for this special event.
