5:00 PM Carlsbad Music Festival Celebrate "adventurous music by the beach" at the 14th annual Carlsbad Music Festival.

This three-day event features more than 60 performances of creative music of all kinds curated by Founder and Artistic Director, composer/violinist Matt McBane. The styles range from contemporary classical and indie rock to world music and jazz.

There will be free outdoor concerts throughout the weekend, as well as ticketed concerts featuring Dollshot, Eric Byers, Julia Holter, Xiu Xiu Plays the Music of Twin Peaks and more.

Along with the music, visitors will also find a beer garden, food trucks and artisan market on Saturday and Sunday.

5:00 PM Balboa Park After Dark On Fridays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, eight Balboa Park museums will be open late, and a rotating selection of food trucks will be parked on the Plaza de Panama and Prado walkways for Balboa Park Conservancy's Food Truck Friday (starting June 2). The programs are designed for those who are unable to visit the park during the day.
