5:30 PM Film: Beauty and the Beast Come out enjoy a fun evening at the park. Bring your family, bring your friends. We will be showing the movie "Beauty and the Beast" rated PG. We will have recreation programming from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM put on by the Empower Hour, then the movie will begin at Dusk.

About the film:

Disney's animated classic takes on a new form, with a widened mythology and an all-star cast. A young prince, imprisoned in the form of a beast, can be freed only by true love. 7:00 PM Music: Quinteto Caballero Quinteto Caballero is a superb, exhilarating Latin jazz quintet led by Bill Caballero. Using his trumpet and flugelhorn, Bill voices Latin jazz interpretations of standards and ballads, as well as original tunes and covers of traditional, Salsa, and Brazilian music. In addition to trumpet and flugelhorn, Quinteto Caballero features dynamic musicians on piano, bass, congas, and timbale/trap. Over the years, these talented musicians have played with such luminaries as Lila Downs, Oscar Chávez, and La Maldita Vecindad.

7:00 PM Music: Steel Pulse Come groove to the rhythm of world-famous roots reggae band, Steel Pulse when they take over the Seaside Stage on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017. The concert will begin shortly after the last race around 7:00 PM

Every Friday and select Saturdays and Sundays Del Mar will host a free summer concert! All concerts are 18 and up. Concerts are FREE with racetrack admission. If you arrive AFTER the last race, you will be charged concert admission ($20). Prepaid tickets, complimentary tickets and season passes will not be accepted for concert admission after the last race. Purchase Stretch Run admission for $6 (no seat needed) and that gets you a day of racing and a FREE concert!

Guests 21 and up may want to arrive in advance of the Friday concerts so they can enjoy a Del Margarita during happy hour, featuring half off of all Del Mar's signature drinks from when the gates open until 6:00 PM every Friday throughout the season. 18+

7:30 PM Music: Mariachi Summit Gala Celebrate the beauty, passion and pageantry of Mexican culture with some of Mexico's greatest artists! The glorious ballet folklórico from the University of Guadalajara and world-renowned Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán will join San Diego's world-class symphonic Mariachi Champaña Nevin, the Orquesta de Baja California and the San Diego Binational Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of traditional and classical Mexican music and dance.

Proceeds benefit the Mariachi Scholarship Foundation. It has been celebrating 20 years of promoting mariachi education in San Diego and providing nearly half of a million dollars in college scholarships to students who graduated from programs they support.
