7:30 PM - 8:30 PM Music: 8 Songs For a Mad King Award winning Bodhi Tree Concerts presents the San Diego premiere of 8 Songs for a Mad King.

Representing maverick composer Sir Peter Maxwell Davies at his most avant-garde, it pushes performers to extremities of technique and emotion. Requiring the command of 'tremendous' registers and distorted vocalizations, the music seems to emanate from the 'king's' delusional mind.

Daring, interactive audience experience with contemporary themes, comparing Mad King George III of England and the current US president.

Performed with chamber orchestra - a must see for the artistically adventurous.
