7:30 PM Music: Natalia Lafourcade Natalia Lafourcade is one of the most influential emerging Latin artists of the last twenty years. Since the age of fourteen, Lafourcade has been recording and releasing music that reflects her musical genius and youthful energy, exciting fans and garnering her award after award.

Lafourcade was born in Mexico City into a family of famed musicians and writers. She began making her own music and quickly found success under the tutelage of Loris Ceroni, mixing pop with bossa nova, rock and Latin rhythms giving Lafourcade the base for her unique sound.

Lafourcade's newest record, Musas, is filled with beautiful original melodies and covers of classic songs from around the world. Lafourcade says recording Musas was a "life-changing" experience while others are calling it "an emotional and graceful homage to Latin American Music" (Billboard) and "soothing to the ear" (PASTE).

Lafourcade can most recently be heard on the official recording of hit song "Remember Me" from the Disney/PIXAR film Coco.

8:00 PM Film: Hin Und Weg (Tour De Force) Belgium, of all places! What's Belgium got besides chocolates and fries? No matter. This year it was Hannes' and Kiki's turn to choose the destination of their annual bike tour with their closest friends. They all look forward to the adventure; after all, they know that what counts the most is the time they spend together. It's only after the tour has begun that Hannes tells his friends that he's suffering from an incurable disease, and that the trip is to be his last. At first, the group is shocked and struck helpless, but after they hit the road again, they embark on a wild and one-of-a-kind adventure. Through Hannes, they realize how precious life is. Equipped with a list of things that still remain to do, and aware that nothing will be the same after this trip, they celebrate life as they never did before…

This film is a presentation of the German Currents Film Festival.
