10:00 AM Fiesta de Los Penasquitos The day starts with a community parade celebrating community groups and local schools. The festival features three stages of live music and performances including The Bayou Bros., the Martin Coughlin Band, and the Dirty Martinis. Also on stage will be performances from Three Treasures Cultural Art Society, Samahan Phillipine Dance Company, and Southern California Ballet. New this year is the addition of the PQ Beer Garden serving beers from local breweries, plus food from around the world, arts and crafts, carnival rides and a kids fun zone. Community service awards and Volunteer and Business of the Year presentations on the Main Stage.

10:00 AM Fiesta de Reyes Cinco de Mayo Folklorico Festival Dancers from throughout Southern California and some from as far away as Sacramento and Las Vegas have competed for the past eight years in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park at the annual Fiesta de Reyes Folklórico Competition. This year the event, to be held over the Cinco de Mayo weekend, is expanding to include dance troupes from Mexico and throughout the Western United States.

The competition is free for the public to attend and will take place in the center of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Children and adult performances alternate throughout the day, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Saturday, May 5, and 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Sunday, May 6. Live bands will take the stage in the afternoon until 9:00 PM on Saturday and 7:30 PM on Sunday. In addition, the state park will showcase children's activities throughout the day.

11:00 AM Cinco de Mayo Old Town San Diego The 35th Annual Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo will transform the historic Old Town area into the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration north of the border. This weekend celebration attracts over 100,000 people over the course of three days with its bustling mercado, non-stop music and live entertainment, lucha libre wrestling, and a huge display of lowriders and other autos.

Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo will feature live entertainment with over 20 bands consisting of Latin rock, Norteña, Conjunto Jarocho, Mariachi, Banda Sinaloense and more! Stroll through the iconic Lowrider Lane and be wowed by the unique paint jobs and car modifications that have become a fiesta favorite. Free activities for the children, such as face painting, arts and crafts and interactive educational elements. Visit the Ballet Folklorico competition with two days of historical performances.

1:00 PM Celebrating Jewish American Heritage By celebrating Jewish American Heritage Month, we honor the values of inclusion, acceptance and religious liberty cherished by this country. With Ivy Barsky, CEO; and Gwen Goodman, Director of the National Museum of American Jewish History, the San Diego Jewish Genealogical Society will honor this month with members' shared stories of their ancestors' arrival in this country, their trials and tribulations as well as their achievements and successes. The presentation will conclude with the film Maxwell Street, A Living Memory which captures the essence of this early Chicago Jewish market street through the eyes of the children and grandchildren of the Eastern European Jewish immigrants who built it.

2:00 PM House of Poland Lawn Program The yearly lawn program is always held on the first Sunday in May. This day commemorates the Polish Constitution Day which was May 3, 1791. It was the first written constitution in Europe, and the second in the world, after the United States.

The entertainment for this occasion is will be presented by local groups performing folk dances in regional native costumes, and play music depicting the Polish heritage.

Foods available will be traditional Polish dishes, including pierogi, stuffed cabbage, polish sausages and bigos (hunter's stew) and a variety of pastries.
