10:00 AM Cherry Blossom Festival This year marks the Japanese Friendship Garden of San Diego's 13th annual Cherry Blossom Festival, where visitors can enjoy the Japanese custom of hanami: appreciating the beauty of cherry blossom flowers. Last year the cherry blossoms attracted over 12,000 people, and they expect to host even more during this year's three-day festival.

Also present will be various food and merchant vendors, cultural performances, demonstrations and a variety of family-friendly activities.

7:30 PM Stage: Outside Mullingar Oceanside Theatre Company stages "Outside Mullingar," a story about Irish families by John Patrick Shanley. Anthony and Rosemary are two introverted misfits straddling 40. Anthony has spent his entire life on a cattle farm in rural Ireland, a state of affairs that - due to his painful shyness - suits him well. Rosemary lives right next door, determined to have him yet watching the years slip away. Director Kathy Brombacher has assembled a talented cast of San Diego performers including Jim Chovick, Vanessa Dinning, Dagmar Fields and Steve Schmitz.

8:00 PM Filipino Music: Up Dharma Down UDD, formerly known as Up Dharma Down, is a Filipino band that formed in Manila in 2004. They have released three albums: Fragmented, Bipolar and Capacities, which were all released under the independent record label Terno Recordings.

Mark Cole's BBC show tagged the Asian band as most likely to cross over to North American shores. They have been featured in numerous regional shows alongside bands such as Arcade Fire (Canada) and Bloc Party (UK). They have also been recognized by Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile, Curt Smith of Tears for Fears and Tim Bowness of No-Man.

The story is set in Germany during the Renaissance. A young and innocent peasant girl, Giselle, falls in love with Albrecht, a nobleman pretending to be a peasant boy. Giselle is shocked to discover that Albrecht is engaged to marry a princess. She goes insane from grief and suddenly dies of a broken heart. One night Giselle rises from her grave and finds Albrecht surrounded by a large group of evil ghostly spirits who try to dance Albrecht to death. Giselle intervenes and shows the power of forgiveness and the true meaning of love.
