All Day San Diego Jewish Film Festival The mission of the San Diego Jewish Film Festival is to offer outstanding world cinema that promotes awareness, appreciation and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people to attendees of the community at large. Festival programs aim to educate and illuminate through evocative, independent fiction and documentary films that portray the Jewish experience from current to historic global perspectives. The festival includes over 40 feature-length films and numerous short films.

1:30 PM Jewish Film Festival Screening of Lamb The Worldview Project is proud to be a Film Festival Community Partner for the San Diego Jewish Film Festival screenings of the film Lamb!

Upon the death of his mother, a young Jewish boy is sent to live with relatives who see him only as another mouth to feed. Ephraim instantly feels out of place among his Christian relatives whose farming lifestyle and chauvinist attitudes further his struggle to fit in. Ephraim bonds with Chuni, a lamb that begins to accompany him everywhere. But when Ephraim realizes Chuni is going to be slaughtered for an upcoming holiday, he must devise a plan for both of their futures.

4:30 PM Talk: Japan-U.S. Relations Going Forward Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Environment in Japan, the Honorable Professor Yoriko Kawaguchi will share her views on Japanese-U.S. diplomatic relations with regard to the economy, the environment, and geopolitics and Asia going forward. Following her presentation, Professor Ulrike Schaede will invite a conversation on how these matters affect global trade and San Diego.

The event will start at 4:30 p.m. with a reception and the talk will start at 5:30 p.m. It will held in the Large Conference Room at Green Acre at Campus Pointe.

San Diego Film Week is a new, week-long festival that celebrates local film (and replaces the Film Consortium Fall Film Festival and Winter Film Showcase).
