2:00 PM Enfrascada Free Reading San Diego Repertory Theatre and Amigos del Rep present a reading of Tanya Saracho's "Enfrascada."

Alicia is devastated when she finds out her long-term boyfriend's been cheating on her. But she has friends ready to support her by any means necessary. They urge Alicia to experiment with brujerķa, hoodoo, and santerķa magic; not only to heal her broken heart, but to help get her man back. Reminiscent of Sex and the City, Tanya Saracho's comedy explores the truly magic side of love.

This free reading is presented in celebration of International Women's Voices Day.

2:00 PM Music: Places in Time Rhythms of Italian music pervade this concert as our "It's About Time" festival continues.

Gioacchino Rossini's French opera about the Swiss fighting against Austrian oppression was transformed into the signature music of American pop culture icon, The Lone Ranger, due to its perfectly propulsive, "Hi-Ho Silver!" beat. Giuseppe Martucci provides a perfect sample of Italian night music, and Ottorino Respighi gloriously tramps ghost legions down the Appian way in "The Pines of Rome." Rising young Italian conductor Jader Bignamini leads the program.

Admission/Cost: $20 - $72

Joan and Irwin Jacobs Music Center

2:00 PM Indian Cultural Art Showcase December is known as the Music and Dance month in India (known as Margazhi), and in recent years the word 'Margazhi' has become synonymous with the celebration of Indian arts. Being an ocean away, one does not need to stray far to experience the uplifting energy of Indian classical performing arts.

With many local artists, San Diego's very first Margazhi Utsavam—an Indian cultural art showcase—boasts to include music, dance, storytelling, short talks, games and food!

Our showcase strives to provide an engaging, interactive and educational environment for the audience to enjoy.
